September 2024’s PlayStation State of Play was broadcast last night, and for those who missed it, we’ve rounded up all the news and announcements here. Sony ended up surprising fans with some shadow drops and the announcement of Ghost of Tsushima follow-up, Ghost of Yotei. Without further ado, here’s what we saw. - PS Plus Essential October 2024 monthly games lineup includes Dead Space, WWE 2K24, and Doki Doki Literature Club Plus
- PS Plus Premium will expand its classics lineup with Dino Crisis and Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain later this year
- PS Plus Extra and Premium members are getting a new first-party game on September 26: The Last of Us Part I
- Ghost of Tsushima successor is Ghost of Yotei, out in 2025 with a new protagonist
- Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is coming October 31 with an upgrade offer and save transfers
- Lego Horizon Adventures is out November 14 and its digital deluxe edition was revealed
- Monster Hunter Wilds launches on PS5 on February 28, 2025
- Stellar Blade is getting NieR: Automata DLC and Photo Mode
- Speaking of Stellar Blade and DLC, Astro Bot is getting free DLC this fall featuring Eve
- Palworld is out on PS5 now, but currently on hold in Japan, presumably due to Nintendo’s lawsuit
- TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge – Radical Reptiles is out now
- Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered officially announced, coming December 10
- Lunar Remastered Collection revives the series after 25 years
- Dynasty Warriors: Origins launching on PS5 on January 17, 2025
- Hell Is Us, an action-adventure game coming to PS5 in 2025, got a gameplay trailer
- Horror game Fear the Spotlight coming to PS5 and PS4 on October 22
