When you have one and open it, there are multiple rewards you have the chance to obtain. Aside from being a nifty way to get freebies, they also fill up one of the slots in the
Desolate Deep bestiary. How To Obtain There are two ways to get Coral Geodes, let’s take a look:
- Fishing Coral Geodes can be caught in the Desolate Deep during spring or summer but at any time or weather. They love magnets as bait, so it’s worth attaching some to your rod to increase your chances!

Purchasing - You can purchase Coral Geodes for 600C$ from the shop next to the Merchant NPC inside the Desolate Deep.
What Is Inside A Coral Geode? Once opening a Coral Geode, you have the chance to obtain a few rewards:
- Cash You may get lucky and find some cash inside. However, it’s known that they sell for a nice sum of money too, so it depends if you want to take the risk and open one instead of selling it.

Fish - There is a chance to find Desolate Deep fish inside these geodes! Although the chances of finding mythic or legendry fish are slim, it’s still a great way to fill up your bestiary.

Bait - Having bait on your rod to help catch fish is important, and opening these geodes is a great way to obtain some.
