In the first half of 2024, the Tier-1 West casual gaming market saw revenue increase by 11% year-on-year, rising from $6.5 billion in H1 2023 to $7.2 billion in H1 2024. Despite some stagnation or decline in various genres, merge-2, match-3, match 3D, sort puzzle, and casual casino genres all experienced notable growth. That's according to the new Casual Gaming in H1 2024 report by AppMagic which also shows that match-3 games, despite a sizable 23% drop in downloads, enjoyed a 9% increase in revenue, largely driven by the powerhouse that is Royal Match, which surged 69% in revenue year-on-year. ...
