Craig Derrick, Executive Producer at Lucasfilm Games, has sad that the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is something of a spiritual successor to classic point-and-click adventure titles, including Indy’s very own Fate of Atlantis. Speaking during an interview on the Lucasfilm website, Derrick revealed how The Great Circle encourages players to think before going in guns blazing, harkening back to classic adventure titles from the early 90s. From uncovering and investigating the central mystery of the story to tackling unique situations along the way and outsmarting traps designed to keep the world’s secrets hidden. We wanted the player’s primary focus to be on using their brains before their brawn, although punching bad guys is also a lot of fun. In many ways, we envisioned this game as a spiritual successor to Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and other classic adventure games. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is out on PC and Xbox Series X/S in December and arrives on PS5 in Spring 2025.
