Thanks to new previews and statements from press and developers, we’re starting to see some of the more tangible improvements PS5 Pro is going to be making when it drops this coming November. Sure, there won’t be anything that comes out that day that’s a totally new experience built with the PS5 Pro in mind, but we will get a whole bunch of updates on games that we already love now looking and performing better than they ever could on PS5. Alan Wake 2 is one of those games, and like many other developers on Wednesday Remedy detailed a bit more as to how the PS5 Pro will improve the experience for players. Specifically for Alan Wake 2, the PS5 Pro version will add ray tracing to the game, and provide better visuals across both its Performance and Quality modes. Communications director for Remedy Thomas Puha provided a statement to a PlayStation Blog post going over the improvements in multiple games, and you can check out the full statement below. “Our graphics engineers at Remedy have greatly enjoyed improving Alan Wake 2 for PS5 Pro together with the team at Sony Interactive. With a game like Alan Wake 2, where the mood and environmental story-telling are essential, bringing ray tracing to the game as a brand new feature adds another layer of immersion. We have also used the additional power of PS5 Pro to improve the visuals and effects in the 60fps Performance mode, where we have upped the output resolution to 4K, making the experience look even better than before.” Source – [PlayStation Blog] The post Alan Wake 2 On PS5 Pro Adds Ray Tracing And Improved Visuals In Its Performance And Quality Mode appeared first on PlayStation Universe.
