Black Myth: Wukong is one of biggest games of the year, chiefly because it’s a turning point for Chinese game development as a big-budget triple-A game with huge success. 20 million copies in its first month is nothing to sneeze at, especially for a development team who has never made a game like Wukong. So it was good news, for fans and those who’ve yet to pull the trigger, that a physical release is one its way. Even more exciting is a confirmation spotted by Wario64 on Twitter, that the physical version will be the full game on the disc, and it’ll be playable without an internet connection. A quick look at retail websites for Best Buy and VGP reveal that the disc will include the whole game, and a code will be included for the content due those who buy the deluxe edition of the game. In a modern landscape where it’s more common to see messages about physical versions not including the whole game, and essentially being a glorified DRM check, it’s nice to still see physical games release that have the game.
