Fisch Diving Gear Guide To reach the new Desolate Deep, you’ll need to obtain Diving Gear. From the surface, there are two available options including the Basic Diving Gear for 3,000 C$ from Moosewood, and the Advanced Diving Gear for 15,000 C$ at the Red Buoy. The Basic Gear provides oxygen for 60 seconds and offers enough time to reach the Desolate Deep assuming you don’t become snagged on a Mine or detour. The Advanced gear, however, lasts around 3 minutes and gives more room for error and deep sea adventures. Flippers and Tidebreaker Flippers increase your speed when diving to make reaching the depths easier. Each variant for sale sits in on the market stalls within the Desolate Deep Pools.

Miscellaneous Items Oddly enough, the Glider is a key part of reaching the Brine Pools from the Desolate Deep. This seems unusual since you’re so far underground, but by taking to the skies you’ll be able to parkour around rocky faces and slip into the crevices of the wall to unlock and fish in the Brine Pool. Luckily, the Glider is sold at the shack in the Desolate Deep for 900 C$, or obtained next to the Ashe NPC at Roslit Bay for the same price. Which Diving Kit Should You Buy? Given the Glider is mandatory to reach the Brine Pools, it’s a no-brainer that you should add it to your shopping list. Alongside this, I recommend the Advanced Diving Gear since the lesser version makes for a more tense travel. And, to sweeten the deal, any of the Flippers or Tidebreaker to complete the set. Despite each Flipper variant having a huge price difference and speed buff, they boil down to being an underwater boat. They’re not necessary to get from A to B, but do save time.
