Playstation Universe Report that PS5 Pro Has 18GB Of RAM Thanks To Additional 2GB GDDR5 Allocation

Following the leak of the PS5 Pro full tech specs earlier today, it has been confirmed that Sony’s mid-cycle powerhouse supports 18GB of RAM due to additional 2GB GDDR5 allocation. The RAM is split between GDDR6 16GB used for graphics, and an additional GDDR5 2GB for operations. This is just one of the many areas that PS5 Pro surpassed the original version of the console, which is packed with more horsepower under the hood allowing it to greatly improve the performance of PS5 titles. Sony’s PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) is a major advantage of the PS5 Pro, which takes the form of an AI-powered upscaling technique to offer a wealth of advancements in image quality.
