Keep in mind that you can upgrade your attributes later, so none of the stats are set in stone, however this guide talks about the optimal choices for builds. • Best for: Dexterity builds.

These dark blue skinned pointy-eared creatures dwell inside caves. They’re the setting equivalent of the Drow. Umbraliths are naturally faster, with a very high DEX stat, though lower WIS and INT. They have low magic resistance and low armor, so avoiding damage is key in a fight. Cyruleas

• Best for: Strength builds.

These volcano-dwelling folk have a draconic edge to them. One eye glows with fire, and they’re born with pointed horns on their heads. Cyruleas have impressive strength, though lack INT and DEX. They’re not the best choice for magic users, but if you want a strength build, they’re pretty unmatched. Viridis

• Best for: New or indecisive players.

These people have animal tails, and with it, a very balanced set of stats. Viridis characters can turn their hand to almost anything, as they start with a 5 in all stats. If you can’t decide what build you’re going for, a Viridis is a great choice to leave your options open. Illythrial

• Best for: Mages

These blue and icy creatures are the natural mages of the setting. Illythrial have high WIS and very high INT. They’re not only great casters, but they have a high magic resistance so they do well against magical opponents. They suffer in terms of melee, with a low DEX stat, and limited health.
