Dambuster Studios has announced that Dead Island 2: Ultimate Edition will launch on October 22, 2024 and includes the base game, both expansion packs, five weapon packs, and a Premium Skin Pack for each Slayer. The Ultimate Edition of the zombie-slaying sequel is arriving alongside the previously-confirmed free update, which will usher in new content including a New Game Plus mode, the Neighborhood Watch cooperative Horde Mode, and an extra area based on the cancels in Venice known as Hell-A. Neighborhood Watch takes place over the span of five fictional days, and sees the Bobcats, a group of college kids, defending their frat house from the marauding zombie hordes. Players will have to hoover up various missions, set up traps, and stockpile weapons as you prepare for the onslaught, which happens on the fifth and final day. As for New Game Plus, this allows you to head back into Dead Island 2’s main campaign with your characters and weapons, and includes a new skill slot and increased level cap. There’s also new skins and weapons to get your hands on, as well as heightened difficulty and fresh enemies to battle. Dead Island 2 was released for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S in April 2023.
